How Does Google Evaluate Websites and Determine Website’s Rank?

Google has included more than 200 factors in its algorithm that are consistently re-evaluated while crawling and indexing websites in order to determine websites’ ranks for each keyword or key phrase. Although Google does not reveal these factors and their significance, our SEO experience indicates that in fact they can all be divided in two major groups: website’s relevance to keyword or key phrase and website’s importance, which consists of tens of different factors.

Google crawls and indexes World Wide Web all the time. Because of the ever increasing amount of web resources (websites, online shops, blogs etc.), crawling and indexing is divided in parts. For instance, different servers index different countries’ web resources.

In our experience we have observed Google rank differences for the same website and the same keywords by using different browsers (for instance, when using Internet Explorer, the results may differ from the ones received by using Mozilla Firefox). It can be explained by server synchronisation – users who use Internet Explorer are redirected to different servers than those who don’t, and not always these servers will be 100% synchronised.
